Wow. I have spent my turkey day break in New York and man do my feet hurt. My sister is going to school out here on Manhattan and lives in Brooklyn several stops out on the train. It is awesome. It is all up and down and up and down with the stairs to the subway and little vendors with the knockoff label shades and purses and those almonds with the caramel on them. Yummy. She managed to score a pretty awesome apartment on the second floor of a building on a corner so they have tons of windows and with the weather still so nice, they can keep the windows open.

With turkey day itself: we went and caught the 'tail' end of the Macys parade (I have pictures of Clifford's and Big Bird's asses) then headed home after grabbing lunch somewhere to cook dinner. I had managed to find a 12 lb turkey since there were only four of us, and we did the mashed potatoes, gravey, stuffing and the rest. Very nice.

If anyone who reads this is out in the city, there is this awesome restaurant over on 2nd avenue and 4th st called Ovo with awesome linguine with clam sauce.

Comments:
I'm in the city tonight but leave early in the morning. Thanks for the tip--maybe next time.
